Every year, during the Wine Paris & Vinexpo Paris trade show, the Commanderie du Bontemps organizes a prestigious gala dinner bringing together leading figures in the wine industry to celebrate the great wines of Bordeaux.
This exclusive event marks the opening of Wine Paris week, one of the major events in the wine world. It brings together members of the Commanderie, international wine professionals, partners, and wine enthusiasts for an exceptional evening dedicated to the great wines of Bordeaux’s Left Bank.
Held in iconic and prestigious venues in Paris, this dinner offers a unique setting to celebrate the excellence of Bordeaux wines. Over the years, the Commanderie du Bontemps has welcomed its guests to exceptional venues such as the Palace of Versailles and grand Parisian palaces, offering a memorable experience each time.
Beyond the prestige of the venue, the Wine Paris gala dinner is above all a moment of conviviality and sharing, where the great wines of Médoc, Graves, Sauternes, and Barsac accompany a gourmet dinner in an elegant and warm atmosphere. In opening of Wine Paris, the Commanderie du Bontemps gathered 350 guests at the Four Seasons Hotel George V for an evening bringing together estate owners, négociants, brokers and their clients.
The evening was held in the presence of Annie Genevard, Minister of Agriculture and Food Sovereignty, who was inducted into the Commanderie on this occasion. In her welcoming remarks, she expressed her strong attachment to Bordeaux wines:
“Wine is undoubtedly what France has produced that is both the most deeply rooted in our identity and the most universal.”

To celebrate the opening of the Vinexpo exhibition organized in Paris from 10th to 12th February 2020, Commanderie du Bontemps organised a majestic dinner with the great wines of Medoc, Graves, Sauternes and Barsac at the Palace of Versailles. The banquet havel gather nearly 650 guests and have be held in the magnificent Gallery of Great Battles. After many years, this emblematic event will thus be returning to Paris on 10th February 2020.
