Welcome to the Website of the Commanderie du Bontemps de Médoc, des Graves, de Sauternes et de Barsac, one of the oldest and largest wine brotherhoods in France!

Its 350 members represent the most illustrious estates and châteaux on the left bank of the Gironde, as well as the key businesses in the Bordeaux wine industry, including wine shippers and brokers.
We felt that the tens of thousands of Commandeurs d’Honneur around the world would appreciate having on-line access to the history of our association and details of all the events we organize, as well as a directory of our members.We also felt it was important to keep you regularly informed, via a "quarterly newsletter", of developments in our vineyards and other news concerning Bordeaux' left bank wines.

Our Commanderie, revived in 1949 after a centuries of inactivity, will be celebrating its 60th anniversary in 2009. We may be the custodians of traditions dating back several centuries, but we are now resolutely and confidently forward-looking.
We are sure that, thanks to the efforts of all those involved, our Commanderie will continue to promote the great wines of the Médoc, Graves, Sauternes, and Barsac around the world.
